Leading Your Church into Growth

Some of you will already be familiar with Leading Your Church into Growth, aka ‘LYCiG’. This programme draws together teams of clergy and lay people from a parish or benefice to focus on different elements of church life which are shown to encourage growth in numbers and depth of faith.

This multi-day conference is a helpful tool for parishes with a desire to re-focus on mission and growth. You’ll develop a team who share a common vision and intention under God to work together to bring change.

This course will run later in 2026. To find out more about LyCiG and to register your interest for this course please email us at: ProgrammeManagementOffice@chelmsford.anglican.org

Launchpad

Launchpad is a well-attested programme from Youthscape. We will be launching this in the Barking area in 2026.

This course involves equipping clergy to launch work with young people, whatever the apparent resources. The programme explores youth culture, faith and brain development and practical ways to begin building something from scratch. With support and encouragement ideas can begin to form, allowing you to build the next steps relevant to your local community.

Re-missioning

Through IWA Collaborative, we’ll offer support and training to clergy. IWA Collaborative works alongside leaders to help them manage complexity, hold the bigger picture, and remain faithful to who they are called to be.

This support is especially valuable in helping leaders make sense of competing demands, reduce pressure and isolation, and create space for prayerful reflection and wise decision‑making.

By focusing on real relationships and real, local contexts, IWA helps clergy stay rooted in the life of their communities rather than becoming overwhelmed by systems, structures or expectations. This enables more sustainable leadership, deeper listening, and mission that grows from genuine connection, shaped by the people and places clergy are called to serve.
