  • The Parish of High Ongar celebrated Shrove Tuesday with pancakes at St James, Marden Ash.
  • Holy Trinity & St Augustine of Hippo, Leytonstone gathered for an Ash Wednesday service.
  • St Clement's, Leigh-on-Sea, hosted a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Party for all ages - it was full of pancakes, games and giggles.
  • St Luke's Church, Moulsham Lodge and Tile Kiln, shared many pancakes with delicious toppings!
  • The children of St. Peter's, Great Totham, had great fun making (and flipping) pancakes for Shrove Tuesday!
  • St Andrew’s, Halstead, had a "brilliant" Ash Wednesday doing arts and crafts.
  • St Mary’s, Maldon, marked Ash Wednesday by having a cross of ash marked on their foreheads, to symbolise mortality and repentance.
  • St Leonard's, Lexden, had a great time at ‘Messy Pancakes!’
  • St. Christopher's, Willingale, held an Ash Wednesday service
  • St Barnabas, Walthamstow, had a "lovely" Shrove Tuesday filled with" creativity, conversation and delicious food".
