St Clement’s, Leigh-on-Sea, held a Palm Sunday service full of families, children, and joy

Father Myles Owen led this year's Palm Sunday service at St Clement's, Leigh-on-Sea.

On their Facebook page, the church wrote:

"What a Palm Sunday!

"Yesterday our church was full of families, full of children, and full of joy. It was absolutely wonderful to see so many people there. This community is growing and you can feel it.

"Palm Sunday marks the day Jesus entered Jerusalem and the crowds gathered to welcome him, waving palm branches and singing. Yesterday our children did exactly the same thing, leading the procession with palms in hand, just as people have done for two thousand years. There is something incredibly powerful about that.

"This is your community. And you are welcome."
