Cherry Tree from Hiroshima Planted Marking the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day
On 17th August the children from St. Saviour's and St. Barnabas Churches in Walthamstow help plant a Cherry Blossom Tree in the Peace Garden of St. Saviour's during a special outdoor Mass. The tree has been grown from an official cutting taken from the Memorial Peace Garden in Hiroshima and the service also marked the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day.
